My Favourite Foundations! Cheap and Cheerful!

Now I feel this is a post that every beauty blogger has to cover and why not today! With the weather we're getting at the moment you never know what you're going to face outside so a good foundation is a must! Over the years I've been through them all, the good, the bad and the very very ugly so I'm here to give you my favourites! I'm going to keep this list to cheap foundations cause in all honestly the more I get to know makeup the more I see money does not always get you quality! Now of course I still love my high end makeup for many reasons but I really think if you do a bit of digging you can find a cheap alternative that will work wonders for you! Also, this is not an ad for L'oreal, I genuinely love their products and believe they are the best brand out there ( yes even better than Mac, Charlotte Tilbury etc.)! Every brand has duds, it's just the way the world works but L'oreal in my opinion is the brand with the least duds and most amazing products!

1) L'oreal True Match
My number 1, ride or die foundation! I stand by my statement that this foundation literally works for everyone! First of all it comes in 23 shades which to anyone who struggles with finding their colour (super pale or dark) knows is an absolute God send. Your skin but better is what I would say to describe this foundation, I know we all love our mega coverage and layers of slap but trust me when you find a foundation that makes your skin actually look good you'll realise all those layers aren't necessary anymore! True Match is also really perfect for mature skin as it's super light in texture so isn't going to settle into fine lines, it's just going to make your skin appear radiant. If you need a new foundation just give it a try and I promise you won't regret it and if you don't like it, well, I'll show you how to apply it properly!!

2) L'oreal 24hr Infallible Matte
So when a lot of people hear the word matte they stay away from a product but in my opinion matte foundations are fantastic! The trend at the moment is to have super highlighted glowing skin and I love that, but when you use a foundation that gives you a dewy glow and then put a highlighter over, things can start looking a little sweaty! Now I will never recommend anyone to leave a foundation on their skin for 24hrs but I'll admit I have a few times in my life, for research reasons of course *cough cough*. This foundation DOES last 24hrs, trust me you have to scrape of off with a knife and then you'll still have some left over, but don't get me wrong, you'd barely notice this was on your face for the rest of the day! Now they say this is waterproof which is interesting but I've never tested, I'm going to test it this year on holidays though and get back to you cause I think If a foundation actually is waterproof that's something people need to know! One last thing I want to say about this foundation is that yes it is matte but no it's not going to look cakey, I hate cakey foundation with an absolute passion so trust me it's NOT cakey!!

3) L'oreal Nude Magique Cushion
This foundation is relatively new to the L'oreal range and completely new to the makeup scene! Cushion foundations started in Japan, where all awesome things start and eventually make their way to us! I went in with the same mid set as most people thinking 'this is a gimmick' but I love it! Now it only comes in 7 shades which upsets me but it's new so I'm hoping the range will expand with time! I didn't go into detail on how to use the other foundations cause they're liquid so it's pretty basic but I will tell you how this works! So you just push the applicator that comes with it into the cushion sponge and out comes the foundation, you then tap it onto your face, not rub (never rub any type of foundation on, you always want to tap to build coverage! otherwise your just dragging it around your face) , tap! Tap a little for sheer coverage and tap a lot for medium to full coverage! Simple enough right! This like all L'oreal foundations has a beautiful your skin but better look so is perfect for everyone! Every review I read about this product people are saying the same thing 'I didn't expect this to work but wow' so that really tells you enough! Also like most L'oreal foundations it has an spf if 25!

I hope you all really enjoyed this post and as always if you have any questions, queries or just want to say hello pop over to my Facebook , Twitter or Instagram ! I would also LOVE to know all your favourite foundations so please let me know!
See ya next time,

My Top 5 Snapchat Accounts!

So Snapchat is the way of the world now and everyone I talk to wants to know who I follow and equally I want to know who they follow. Then we talk about them and have a good gossip, it's all in good fun though! I must say, as of late my snapchat has become quite time consuming with the sheer amount of people I follow so I've had to start to pick and choose which ones I want and this has really let me see who my favourites are! Also If you have someone on Snapchat that you think I absolutely must follow then please send me their name! Also that's my Snapchat right there, shamless plug sorry not sorry, but sure I'd only love if you went and gave it a follow!!

1) Rosemary MacCabe (rosemarymaccabe)
My all time favouite snapper as she was one of my first! Rosemary is never afraid to say what she feels and I love that about her! In short she is a journalist and blogger who worked as the deputy editor of Stellar Magazine until recently she decided to go freelance! Definitely give her a follow if you're sick of people being fake on social media and need a breath of fresh air!

                                                      2) Pippa O'Connor (pippa.oconnor)
Pippa is probably one of the most followed bloggers in Ireland and it's clear why, she's absolutely lovely! Watch her Snapchat just once and you'll realise how nice it is to watch her and Ollie go about their daily life! Her husband Brian makes the odd appearances and with the arrival of little baby Louis (congrats Pippa, Brian and Ollie) things are sure to get even cuter!

3) James Butler (jamespatrice)
James is the definition of hilarious and if you're not following him and need a good laugh (who doesn't?) then go! Now! James is the fashion editor for MFI Magazine and is often on the good ole Expose! His Snapchat includes singalongs, SWEATIN MOIRA and scaring the bejaysus out of Fron, you've no idea what I'm talking about but go follow him and you will!

                                                     4) Erika Fox (retroflame1)
If you want to experience what it's like to live the American dream then Erika is your main woman! Living in New York City as a Fashion and Lifestyle blogger Erika takes you to Fifth Avenue, Central Park and for drinks in Soho on a daily basis. She also takes the oh so casual trips to Coachella, San Fran and the Hamptons, so seriously like I said, she's living the dream!

5) Nicola Carolan (thenakedblondie)
Having lost 9 stone on Slimming World Nicola is the ultimate woman to watch for weight loss inspiration! Her perseverance never ceases to amaze me and her daily recipes are super handy! Nicola is also super down to earth so just an all round really enjoyable person to watch, oh and she has a super cute son Scott who makes the everyday appearance!

BAFTA TV Awards Style 2016!

So since it is awards season we have yet another post on all of our fav celebs and what they decided to wear on the red carpet! Lat night was the BAFTA's and before we even get into it the style was absolutely mighty! I'm going to start off with the belle of the ball who was without a doubt Amanda Holden who wore a show stopping Tony Ward gown.

BEST DRESSED - AMANDA HOLDEN IN TONY WARD.

ALESHA DIXON in MICHAEL COSTELLO
Alesha looked absolutely stunning in this dress, mustard yellow is most definitely her colour! The skintight fishtail suited her figure beautifully!

LUCY MECKLENBURGH in SARELLE
Lucy looked like a princess in this stunning lilac gown! The light updo really showed off her natural beauty and was perfect to achieve a soft look.

ROCHELLE HUMES in MARCO CAPALDO
I hate to say it but this dress is definitely not my favorite of the night. There is no doubt Rochelle is a beautiful woman but this dress really did nothing for her and the pulled back hair didn't exactly suit her, but I must say her makeup was absolutely beautiful so at least there was that!

MICHELLE KEEGAN
Michelle looked absolutely stunning as always and wore a beautiful embellished gown! I searched up high and down low to find the designer but failed.

Katherine Jenkins in Suzanne Neville

CAROLINE FLACK in HALSTON HERITAGE
I love Caroline's typical edgy style and she really worked it last night in this black jumpsuit with quirky splits along the legs.

GEORGIA MAY FOOTE in DENNIS BASSO
Georgia definitely turned a few heads in this sultry monochrome style that had an array of intricate embellishments.

LAURA WHITMORE in RALPH LAUREN
Caroline Flacks jumpsuit definitely had more of an impact as I think Laura's is a little too simple for an awards ceremony! Laura always looks stunning but I think she slightly missed the mark with this one!

KATE GARRAWAY
Kate kept it classy in this teal pencil dress! Wouldn't be my cup of tea but I think it really suited her!

FERNE MCCANN
Ferne looked summer ready in a floor-length bandeau gown that was emblazoned with a colourful baroque print dress that wouldn't have looked out of place on the runways of Versace.

SAM FAIERS
I think this skirt could have been stunning on Sam but with the shirt the look just didn't work! I feel like this shirt is something you'd wear to school or work not to an awards ceremony!

FEARNE COTTON
I thought Fearne looked amazing in this bright yellow lace dress that had a perfect bow around her neck.

TESS DALY in ZEYNEP KARTAL
Tess looked effortlessly stunning in this Kartal gown.

VIP Style Awards 2016 Winners and Style!

So the VIP style awards were on last night and I must say compared to the MET Gala the style was absolutely amazing! Us Irish Ladies and Gents really know how to dress ourselves! There were 6 awards given out on the night and to be honest I agreed with the winners of all! We'll start with most stylish woman as I think that's what everyone want's to know about!

Most Stylish Woman - Vogue Williams
Vogue always looks stunning and last night was no exception! She's beautiful and has an amazing figure so of course she'd look well in a black bag but she really knows how to dress herself! Have a look yourself at some of her previous looks that ended up winning her the award! Congrats Vogue well deserved!!

Nicky Byrne - Most Stylish Man
Nicky wasn't in attendance last night as he is competing at the Eurovision this year, good year for him! I think he most definitely deserved the award but want to know what you guys think?

Most Stylish Newcomer - Dee Devlin

Dee is very new to the Irish fashion scene but has made a lot of waves already! Having such a stylish beau definitely means she has to dress to impress and definitely did that last night! Dee's usual style is normally quite simple but she always looks stunning! Congrats Dee well deserved!

Most Stylish Social Influencer - Rosie Connolly

I'm a big fan of Rosie myself and follow her social media everyday so was delighted for her when she won this award! Red seemed to be the look of the night and Rosie definitely made it her own in this gorgeous dress!

Look Of The Year - Jo Archbold

Irish model Jo picked up the award for look of the year last night and if I'm honest I hadn't heard of Jo until last night but after doing some research I can see how she won the award! She is a beautiful girl with an amazing sense of style! Well done Jo, Hopefully we see a lot more of you now!

Most Stylish At The Marker - Celia Holman Lee

Celia is no stranger to the VIP Style Awards and in my opinion is always one of the best dressed! Wherever Celia is she always looks amazing and I really don't know how she manages to never have a bad outfit!

Best Dressed - Roz Purcell

Roz definitely had an Angelia Jolie moment last night and In my opinion looked much better than her! The dress, the makeup, the choker, everything was just perfect! You go Roz! Killin it!

May Beauty/Makeup Wish List!

So with the success of my 'May Fashion Wish List' I decided to do a beauty wish list too since there is always a million and one different beauty and makeup products I want to try out every couple of weeks!

1) Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil - This stuff has been hyped to the max! The first person I heard talking about it was none other than Fleur DeForce ( if you don't watch her YouTube videos then do!! ) and she was raving about it! From then on I've heard everyone and their mother on about this stuff and I'd love to give a serum a go as I never have! It's not a cheap one so I don't see myself having it anytime soon but perfect for the wish list! Buy It Here! for £85 which is about €107 eeep!

2) La Roche Posay Rosalic collection - This stuff is formulated for skin that is prone to redness which if you've seen my older posts you know I have! I've heard The Makeup Fairy (Joanne Larby) talk about this stuff and I really trust her opinion so would love to give it a go! Buy It Here! Prices range from €15-23!

3) The Body Shop Coconut Shimmer Body Butter - I've heard only wonderful things about this product from so many different bloggers and gurus and the main one being Rosie Connolly! She uses it over her tan and having seen her in real life I can tell you this stuff gives a really luxurious glow to the skin! I do love my Coco Brown Golden Goddess Oil but I find the oil makes my tan wear away a lot faster than it should! Moisturisers are what keep tan looking fresher for longer so one that also gives me a shimmer is going to be right down my alley! Buy It Here!  for €20.95!

4) Creme De La Mer The Eye Concentrate - Now I know you're all thinking why put creme de la mer in no one can afford that and I know I definitely can't afford it but I've heard Pippa O'Conner and so many others talk about this stuff I just had to throw it in! It looks so luxurious and is really meant to help with dark circles which are my nemesis! Now of course I'll be sticking with my simple eye cream for now ( which I love), but if someday this stuff comes into my life I'll be far from devastated! Buy It Here! for a whopping €175!

1) Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette - As I write this, this majestic palette is launching in 7 hours and oh what I wouldn't do for one! Yes there has been a lot of hype and that's probably why I want it so much but the packaging and the shades, it's all so gorgeous! The official price isn't on the website yet but from what I've heard it's going to be €45! Buy It Here!

2) Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer - So I saw Marissa Carter using this stuff yesterday on her snapchat and I've been thinking about it ever since! Marissa like myself has quite dark circles (no shade being thrown) and I really was 'Amazed' by how this concealer covered them up! When I did more research on this stuff it's won a crazy amount of awards and can now be bought on Irish Websites, yay! Buy It Here! for the reduced price of €32.29! Don't know how long that offer is going to last!

3) Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick - These liquid lipsticks are not anything new to the makeup scene having been around for the last year or so and since the moment they were released there has been crazy hype! If you don't know Jeffree himself you should go have a look on his YouTube channel cause he is a makeup genius and amazing drag queen! Personally I want all these lipsticks but I'd settle for just 'I'm Nude' and 'Celebrity Skin' which are both always sold out! Buy or Have a look at the line here!  the lipsticks are about €16 each!

4) Urban Decay Beached Bronzer  - What is it about matte bronzers? They are all we want but can be extremely hard to find! But good ole Urban Decay have come out with two new matte bronzers in their summer collection and I'm in love! They are two gorgeous shades whether you want a subtle bronze or something a little more intense depending on your skin colour! These are not yet on the debenhams website for some reason but should be retailing at about €25 when they are! If you can't wait til they get here Buy Them Here but shipping from America is probably going to cost you a pretty penny!

I hope you all really enjoyed this post and as always if you have any questions, queries or just want to say hello my Facebook is Trendy Irish Gal , my Instagram is trendyirishgal , my Twitter is trendyirishgal and my Snapchat is chlomeisterx !
