Top 5 Eateries in Limerick!

This is a list, in no particular order, of my favouite places to eat out while in Limerick! Limerick has a brilliant selection of restaurants and I like to think I've eaten out here enough to know what's good! So once again whether you're having a light lunch with friends, a family dinner or a romantic evening I've got you covered!

1) The French Table
Last year for Valentines Day myself and the boyfriend spent an absolutely beautiful evening in this quaint little restaurant. It really is the perfect place for a romantic evening with the dim candle light and windows facing the River Shannon, and of course most importantly the food is divine. As the name suggests they have a lot of french dishes which are perfect for the more adventurous such as escargots and foie gras! I went for the Tartiflete for my starter which is Panfried New Potatoes, Smoked Bacon, Shallots and Reblochon Cheese, it was absolutely gorgeous and Luke (the boyfriend) went for the Garlic Prawns which were equally yum! For mains we both went for the Beef Sirlion which was cooked to perfection and served beautifully! All in all this is a great restaurant with a very romantic atmosphere.

2) Texas Steakout
With this restaurant you get exactly what it says on the tin! An all American experience with steak and wings coming out the yazoo. The starters vary from Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad to BBQ ribs to Mussels with everything in between so you can't say that they don't give you choice! The mains also don't just include steak but it is there and very delicious! Their lamb shank I am told is meant to be the best some people have ever had but in my experience the thing to go for is the Fajitas supreme! As the name suggests these really are supreme, the best fajitas I've ever had and I really like my fajitas! The dish comes with pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, grated cheese, guacamole, sour cream, salsa and of course your choice of chicken, beef or prawn, YUM!

3) Bella Italia
Bella Italia is a beautiful rustic Italian bistro in the centre of Limeick City. Pasta and Pizza is their specialty and they sure know how to do it right! My favouite pasta dishes on the menu are the Tagiliatelle Pollo e Funghi which is tagiliatelle, chicken pieces and mushrooms in a creamy sauce, the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Lasagne which comes with divine garlic bread. I find Lasagne is a hard thing to find done well, I absolutely love homemade lasagne's but normally when I go out I find they are very disappointing but Bella Italia know how to do them right and it's so so good! This restaurant is really perfect for any occasion so I'd really recommend it next time you visit Limerick.

4) Marco Polo
I've been to Marco Polo a lot of times and just keep coming back for more! Their service and food is simply impeccable and they have an amazingly fun atmosphere which really causes the cocktails to start flowing. The main thing I love about Marco Polo is their cocktail bar, they have a menu of every cocktail under the sun and they are all equally delicious. Their food of course is also really good and they have a really extensive menu including steaks, Italian dishes and curries so there's something for everyone. All in all Marco Polo is great for a really sociable fun evening out that'll made you want to come back for more!

5) Chocolat
Chocolat has some fantastic food and is the perfect place to hit for lunch when having a day on the town. Their menu is crazy big and the spicy chicken wings are absolutely to die for! If you're going to go to Chocolat you're obviously going to have to go for the 3 course lunch because why wouldn't you, treat yourself! I really recommend the burgers too cause they are divine but super filling so be aware you will be slightly sluggish after you finish one! But then comes dessert and even if you are crazy full you have to have their vanilla creme brulee as it's the best in town!

I hope you all really enjoyed this post as much as my one on the top eateries in Drogheda! As always if you have any questions or queries don't be afraid to ask! I'm always available on my Instagram: missneumeister, my Facebook:Trendy Irish Galand my Twitter: MissNeumeister .
